Martin D-18 – 1961
This is the kind of D-18 players dream of: sought-after, vintage, and ready to play with zero compromise. This 1961 Martin D-18 delivers a bold, articulate tone with excellent balance and projection. It’s in very good condition with tasteful, professional repairs that respect its original character.
Professionally serviced by Montréal Guitar, it remains 100% original aside from a new bone saddle, a full refret, and a new ebony strap pin installed at the bottom (no hole at the heel). A side crack was repaired cleanly, and a barely visible pickguard-related crack between the bridge and guard has been stabilized. The top is straight with no warps or cracks.
Neck projection, relief, and saddle height are spot on — no compromises, no issues. It plays like a dream.
