Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body Orange 1962
This 1962 Gretsch 6120 is an outstanding Nashville-era example, preserved in exceptional condition for its age. The guitar is fully original, with no modifications or alterations, and remains remarkably consistent both cosmetically and mechanically.
The laminated maple body retains a beautifully preserved orange nitrocellulose finish, showing only natural and even aging. The simulated f-holes, correct for this period, are intact. The original leather back pad is present, along with the rotary mute system, fully functional. The maple neck with ebony fingerboard offers a smooth, stable playing feel typical of early 1960s Gretsch instruments.
The original Filter’Tron pickups deliver the classic Gretsch sound: clear, articulate, and well balanced. All electronics are original and unaltered. The original hardware, including the Bigsby B6, remains in very fine condition.
The guitar comes with its original white Gretsch hard case, a rare and highly desirable feature that significantly enhances its collectability.
