Fender Super Reverb 1967 “Drip Edge” Black Face circuit

Fender Super Reverb 1967 with "Black Face" AB763 circuit. The first "Silver Face" amps made in mid-1967 were in fact, "BF" with the aesthetics of "SF". The "BF" are recognized for their warmer and richer sound while the "SF" have a clearer and piercing sound.

Since the tube chart is missing, here are the elements that determine that this is indeed a "Black Face" circuit:

  • Vertical black lines on the front panel (only on models from the first 4-6 months of "SF" production, all being "BF" circuitry).
  • Potentiometers dated 1966
  • Transformers dated mid-1967

Notes:

  • Missing tube chart
  • Replaced AC wire (3 prong)
  • "Reverb tank" replaced
  • Non-original "Footswitch"
  • Original speakers
  • Recent tune-up
  • Excellent condition!
