Fender Precision Bass Fretless Olympic White 1977
A fully original 1977 fretless Precision Bass featuring a factory one-piece maple fretless neck — a configuration produced in much smaller numbers compared to fretted versions during the 1970s. Fretless Precision models remained a niche offering for Fender at the time, making clean, original examples like this increasingly difficult to find today.
Key Features:
- Original Olympic White finish, naturally aged to a warm yellow tone
- One-piece maple fretless neck (factory original)
- Maple fretless fingerboard with original finish
- Original Precision Bass split-coil pickup
- Original electronics (POTS: 137 76..)
- Fully original hardware
- Typical 70s C neck profile
- 7.25" radius
- 34" scale length
- Weight: 10.4 lbs
The instrument is in excellent playing condition. The finish shows wear in common friction areas (rear body contour and front armrest), along with a few dings and scratches on the sides. There is a slight imprint on the back below the neck plate, as well as a social security-style number engraved beneath the neck plate, a commonly seen feature on instruments from this era. Full setup performed by Montréal Guitar.
